25 Pudding Lane
Turn right and head towards The Monument.
There is a plaque commemorating that this was the place where the Great Fire of London started at the junction of Monument Street and Pudding Lane.

26 Monument Street
Cross Pudding Lane into Monument Street and head to the entrance to The Monument.
The Monument was built to commemorate the Great Fire and was completed in 1677. It is the tallest isolated stone column in the world.
There is an entry fee to climb to the viewing platform of the Monument – purchase your ticket once you are there. There are 311 steps and no lift!

27 Fish Street Hill
Walk past the Monument and immediately turn left into Fish Street Hill.
To get onto London Bridge avoiding two sets of steps go straight on at the Monument carrying along Monument Street with a pub called The Hydrant on your right. Turn right at London Bridge to the pedestrian crossing and cross over London Bridge. Turn left so you are on the right-hand side of London Bridge. Meet your team on the pavement of the bridge outside Fishmongers Hall which is the last building on the right before crossing the river. 28 St Magnus the Martyr
Cross Lower Thames Street at the pedestrian lights, watching out for the bike lanes, and turn right and then immediately left into the churchyard of St Magnus the Martyr
Inside the church, if it is open, is a fascinating model of Old London Bridge.

29 Fishmongers Hall
Come out of the churchyard and turn left. Walk along Lower Thames Street until you get to the span of London Bridge. Immediately under the bridge go up the first set of steps on your left and turn right.
Walk along the underpass signposted “London Bridge West Side and Southwark Cathedral“. Turn right and walk up the steps.
At the top of the steps turn right so you are walking over London Bridge on the right hand pavement. Just before you get to the river the building on the right is Fishmongers’ Hall.
The original trades in the City of London were protected by needing to be a member of a Guild or Company in order to make and sell goods. This guaranteed that a member of a Guild was trustworthy and fully qualified, and that the goods they produced were of reputable quality.

30 The Mudlark pub
Walk over London Bridge enjoying the views. Once you have crossed the river look for a silver dragon and set of steps on your right, part of the original bridge.
Walk down these steps and turn right.
Look for a pub on your left called The Mudlark.
Stay on London Bridge and you have step-free access to Borough Market on your right.Swipe left for next step -
31 Bedale Street
Follow Montague Close around to the left and past the entrance to Southwark Cathedral into Cathedral Street which becomes Bedale Street.

You will find your final market, Borough Market, on both sides of Bedale Street.
