Return to Greenwich

On 11th December I returned to Greenwich some 30 years since my last visit (when I saw Frank Sinatra at the old Docklands Arena – that shows my age!).

I was amazed standing overlooking the Naval College and the incredible Canary Wharf Skyline – wow – it still remains one of the best sights along the Thames. The day was made even more exciting as I was also taking part in one of our Beyond the Map London Taster Tavern Tours.

Curated by Hilary, a dozen or so of us were tasked with seeking clues and answering a wide range of questions while enjoying an interesting walk, not to mention stopping off for some fabulous ales, a few bubbles and the odd mulled wine on route!

I therefore cannot wait for my next trip into the Capital in the New Year when Beyond the Map London will be inviting family, friends and competition winners to partake in our FOUR historical Walks.

Our walks are a fantastic way to catch up and have fun with friends, while leaning about the history of this fabulous city, while remaining as COVID safe as possible.
