1 Pimlico Station to Tate Britain
From Pimlico Station head towards Vauxhall Bridge Road and cross this road at the traffic lights.
Walk towards Vauxhall Bridge and turn left onto Millbank. Walk along the left hand pavement of Millbank until you get to Tate Britain on your left.
The first few questions can be answered from outside, and then inside, Tate Britain.

2 Tate Britain
Now an optional visit to Tate Britain. Pre-booking is recommended, but not essential.
There is no entry fee, although a small donation is always appreciated. Enter via the side door.

3 Riverboat Stop
Walk down the steps. At the bottom of the steps turn left. At the pedestrian crossing cross over Millbank.
Turn left so you have the River Thames on your right. You’ll soon come to the River Boat stop for Tate Britain, served by Thames Clippers.
Walk up the ramp to the pier and turn right. Stop at the digital timetable.

4 Thames Clipper Info Board
Walk along the pavement, looking for an information board.
On your left across the road is Millbank Tower.

5 Millbank Tower
Keep walking along the embankment with the river on your right.

6 Thames House
Continue walking along the pavement. Ahead of you is Lambeth Bridge.
Turn right into Victoria Tower Gardens South and walk through the gardens, stopping when you are opposite an arch in the middle of Thames House on your left.
Stay on the pavement on the left of the gardens if you are unable to walk up steps.

7 Lambeth Bridge
Carry on through the gardens and up the steps onto Lambeth Bridge, looking for a memorial.

8 View of Lambeth Palace
Carefully cross straight over Lambeth Bridge at the zebra crossing and stop at the top of the steps.

9 Victoria Tower Gardens
Go down the steps into Victoria Tower Gardens, one of the Royal Parks.
There are toilets on your left and a children’s playground.
To avoid the steps stay on the pavement and come into the gardens on the first path on your right.There are no questions here.Swipe left for next step -
10 Horseferry Playground
Around the edge of the Horseferry playground, information about the history of Lambeth Bridge and the playground has been written into the kerb stones. Head for the coffee kiosk.

11 Buxton Memorial
Walk with the river on your right to the Buxton Memorial on your left.
You are now a quarter way through your walk

12 The Burghers of Calais
Return to the path and walk towards the Houses of Parliament with the river immediately on your right.
Walk along this path until you come to a brown building, the Parliamentary Education Centre.
Turn left before this building to a statue by Rodin, The Burghers of Calais.
